Riddled With Love

A lot of people have been randomly commenting and viewing an older short I did with Rorschach. It's one of my favorites from this early period in my career, a silly look at Batman villians bitching about their love lives, that still holds up well. I guess everyone finding it now has to do with the Batman movie doing so well?

It was my one dip into the gross and frightening world of fan-made costumes, but I think we did a good job with the limited resources at our disposal. My personal favorite has to be the water cooler jug that we used for Mr. Freeze's helmet, if only because figuring out what would work stumped us for a while. I think overall we had a pretty good mix from every iteration of the characters' pasts (and we did the creepy Scarecrow burlap sack way before Batman Begins came out. Suck it, Nolan). Someone asked where we got the idea from the Joker's voice recently, and I laughed when I remembered we based it off the weird voice they gave him on a couple of episodes of Scooby Doo. Ridiculous. There's still footage around (and maybe even a longer cut) that had some more good gags in it. Mr. Freeze cries about not being able to drink anything with his helmet/freeze thing going, and then breaks up the poker game when he awkwardly breaks into crying over Nora.

We had planned on making a series of these and never did, but I always thought it'd be really funny.

I Have Seen the Future...

and it showed me the next internet sensation. Flynt Flossy. Whatchamacallit. Brilliance.
