Narcocorrido

Nearing the end of post-production on "Narco", as we've picture-locked the edit, and I'm thinking "Wow, we're done".

Uh uh.

We've still got months of work to do on sound and vfx, as well as the color correction and finishing and all the stuff that goes into getting it into festivals and seen. Posters, an updated website, etc.

And it dawns on me that this is actually where the real hard work begins. The work my team and I can't just do our on. This is going to involve OUTSIDE people! For favors and beggings.

This is just all getting started, really. And that's exciting, too.

Natural Law Location Scout

Went scouting for Natural Law over the weekend in the Minocqua / North Woods WI area. Prepping for shooting the film next winter begins now, and the lead actor and myself went up to start meeting people and to get a feel of the area. I'll post more photos, but these were some quick snaps I got for the tone of the place.

Putting this project together as my first feature film. Planning on shooting this winter. It's going to be pretty awesome, no big deal.

Our first table read is this weekend, in which we'll get to hear it read aloud by actors and make adjustments accordingly.

I'll be adding more photo ref stuff as I go. Win.

Back to thesis. I was trying to get a feature off the ground, which got pushed, so it's back to full time work on the thesis film 'til May. Story's going in a slightly different direction, which is good. Just tightening everything up.

The title of the film is now official: Narcocorrido. Shit's gonna be real.
